As soon as you start driving, there's no avoiding it: sooner or later, you'll need to refuel. However, this is something that often goes wrong for both new and experienced drivers. Whether it's filling up with the wrong fuel or driving off with the nozzle still attached, it happens! To prevent these dangerous situations and confusion, Fightclub created the Fuel Certificate for Tango and WOLF Driver's License Shop. Tango gas stations and WOLF Driver's License Shop have teamed up to raise the general fueling knowledge across the Netherlands.
Insight: Refueling during your driving lessons
It’s actually bizarre that you learn everything during a driving lesson, but something as common as refueling is often left out. This was the clever insight from which TCC launched this campaign for Tango and WOLF. That’s why this campaign aims to make refueling a part of driving lessons as much as possible.
The campaign: Fuel Certificate
Refueling doesn’t just go wrong with new drivers, but even experienced drivers make mistakes. In fact, 1 in 5 drivers still make mistakes, according to the latest data. That’s why you can test your knowledge on Tankbewijs.nl. People who pass the fuel exam flawlessly have a chance to win one of the 20 free fuel refills worth 50 euros!


Online Roll-out
The campaign will be further spread online through influencer channels in the coming period. Sterre Koning, BeautyNezz, and Jiami are going for their fuel certificate and will highlight the issues you can encounter while refueling. The website and quiz were also developed by us.
PR Moment
To further emphasize the relevance, we linked this campaign to the key fueling PR moment of the year. Starting October 1, 2019, gas stations with two or more gasoline dispensers are required to offer E10 at at least half of their pumps. This agreement was made to reduce CO2 emissions. The timing of this change was a perfect match for Tango – the smartest choice when you need to refuel.
