An Award-Winning Shift: How We Transformed Hulphond Nederland’s Story

Hulphond Nederland is one of the Netherlands' leading charities dedicated to transforming lives through the power of service dogs. For over 30 years, the organization has trained and paired highly skilled dogs with individuals facing severe physical or psychiatric challenges, as well as youth in therapeutic care.

The challenge

Hulphond Nederland trains six types of assistance dogs, each with a different role. Some detect seizures. Some support people with PTSD. Others help with daily tasks and even therapy. Functionally, that story is easy to explain. Emotionally, it needed one clear idea.

Our move

We built the campaign around the Dutch word ‘uitgelaten’. It means a dog being taken outside. It also means feeling joyful and full of life.


That double meaning became the idea: not the dog is uitgelaten. The person is. Together with GIG Creative Film Production, we translated that idea into five intimate portraits. Each one showed a different kind of support, but the same emotional release: people stepping back into life and feeling ‘uitgelaten’ again.

The results

A national 360° campaign across TV, outdoor, social, digital and activations. One emotional platform for six types of assistance dogs.


The campaign earned its place among the finalists at the 2025 de Ster Gouden Loeki awards and we finished 3rd place in the category of charity campaigns. The campaign reminded audiences that the true measure of support isn't just in tasks completed, but in life regained.
